Warum Caravaning?

Caravan

When you see a photo of a family living in a caravan all year round, what comes to your mind?

A decade ago, the answer would be simple and predictable: an elderly couple retired after a long job, perhaps with several older children who visit them in their trailer several times a year. Do not forget a couple of their little dogs!

But today the picture has changed, and it is already difficult to write a portrait of the average „permanent caravaner“. These pensioners are already joined by middle-aged couples who train their children and even 20-and-a-few-year-old adventurers-singles. It turns out that caravan life has a hell of a lot of fans … who would have thought? (Answer: we could think)

Of course, there are several factors that underlie this demographic shift, including the constantly growing price of traditional housing and a digital revolution that allows us to work remotely and at any time of the day. But there is also a love factor for wandering life, which attracts travellers of all ages to the road and to the Caravans.

So, I wonder what is it that attracts people in caravan life? Here are a few reasons that we most often hear.

Young RV Living

The next time you meet some young caravaners, you may find that these factors have played a role in the choice of their way of life.

1. When you are a Complete Caravaner, there is no such thing as boredom.

How many among us are those who walk every day from our too big home to our work 9:00 – 17:00, occasionally dreaming of leaving all this?

So, the Permanent Caravanning is exactly this. No more boring everyday life; no more need to mow the lawn or pay a mortgage. Only you and the open road.

At least in theory. But do not misunderstand us: Full-day caravanning is not always a picnic. And although you can avoid stress from some traditional duties at home, you will have quite a few other responsibilities that must be performed in the Caravan.

You also need to keep up with the simple responsibilities of living in a constant movement, which is not quite like a burden … until you realize that someone has to plan where the next stop will be, how long you will be there, and where exactly, not to mention finding out where the best grocery store/doctor’s office/mechanic in the city is hiding.

When you live in one place, you have to do it all once or twice in your entire life. But for young caravan owners, the compromise is completely worth it. Every few weeks you get a new look from your window and a life filled with wonderful unexpected surprises. For this, it is worth spending several hours every month and planning your trip!

Budget trip

From searching for the optimal caravan for a young couple, to save options by preparing at home: moving your life to a space of 15 square meters can be a radical way to cut your budget.

2. „Little Life“ can give great results.

Obviously, reducing the living space means that you will have fewer objects. Acquisition and use of fewer items allow you to avoid debts and stop accumulating rubbish. Plus, you will feel the feeling of Absolute Freedom, realizing how little you really need to enjoy a Full Life.

Do not become a victim of the myth that a full caravanning will automatically save you money. Starting from expensive fees for a holiday camping and to the numerous repairs that the Caravan requires throughout their life; you will still have a lot of costs when your home is a HOUSE on wheels!

3. Make money on the Road

Here is one of the main reasons why this alternative lifestyle becomes so accessible and popular. This is all possible due to remote tasks.

office

All of us must eat. In other words, this means that we all need to make money.

Until recently, this meant that most of us were tied to a particular place, whether it was office work or employment in the service sector. But now remote jobs mean that you can make money while travelling … that can turn your life into one long vacation. Yes, please!

4. Constant Traveling can be a great way to raise children.

You may think: „But there is no stability! Where will the children go to school? “

So, listen. The fact that you earned on your own caravan, already says that you are far from being a fool. And if you are able to give your children homeschooling, then Caravanning can be an incredible opportunity to actually show them the material they are learning about – whether it means travelling through European historical sites or exploring a variety of ecosystem types.family

In addition, children who grew up on the road will be open people and cultures. Try to recreate this level of socialization in the traditional situation in the classroom! 5. Plus, of course … it’s just fun! Do I want to ask, which of us does not want to live an adventurous life? Permanent Caravanning means that this world belongs to you so that you explore it, and the only restrictions are only time and money. You can live many lives when you are a full caravaner: perhaps you will spend one month on the sandy beaches of Italy, then to move to the mountains of Switzerland. And all this time you will have the opportunity to meet other travellers and adventurers, just like you. As we mentioned above, we do not want to give you the impression that 100% Caravanning never challenges … because that’s exactly it. But all this is part of the Great Adventure!

So, if you are 27 or 72, if the road calls you, why not answer it?
